You might be unable to save the TikTok Ads integration if the TikTok user who authorized it doesn't have the required access to the advertiser account, or if the Bloomreach user doesn't have permission to create integrations. This article explains which permissions to check and how to refresh the connection.
You may see one of these errors:
TiktokAdvertiserIDvalidation failed on therequiredtagMissing advertiser permissions
Internal server error, please contact the administrator.
The following screenshots show two examples of errors that can appear when the integration cannot be saved.
TiktokAdvertiserID validation failed on the required tag. This error means that Bloomreach did not receive an advertiser ID during authorization. It usually happens when the connected account is not an eligible TikTok Advertiser Account or does not have sufficient access to the selected advertiser.
This error is not specific enough to confirm a permissions issue. It can appear when the TikTok authorization or connection is invalid, so follow the permission checks and refresh steps below.
Check the required permissions
Confirm the following permissions and account details:
The TikTok user has the Ad Account Operator or Ad Account Admin role for the relevant advertiser account.
The TikTok user doesn't have only the Ad Account Analyst role. This role isn't sufficient to authorize or save the integration.
The Bloomreach user has the Integrations Editor role or a higher role.
You're connecting the TikTok Advertiser Account that contains the advertiser you want to use.
The advertiser appears after you complete the TikTok authorization flow.
Refresh and save the connection
Update the user's permissions in TikTok Ads Manager if needed.
In Bloomreach, open the TikTok integration and click Refresh your TikTok connection with Bloomreach.
Complete the TikTok authorization flow again and select the correct advertiser.
Click Save integration in the top-right corner.
If you still can't save the integration, reauthorize it using a user with the required TikTok and Bloomreach roles. If the existing connection appears broken, create a new TikTok integration for that user.
