When you save or move a campaign design, you may see this error:
Error! This campaign_design indirectly uses too many non-global objects from other initiatives. Please resolve the dependencies or create the campaign_design in another initiative.
The campaign design references objects from other initiatives that are not global in scope. By default, components in an initiative are available only to other components in the same initiative. A global object is available throughout the project.
Choose one of the following options to resolve the error.
Resolve the dependencies
The Resolve dependencies window lists the objects that cause the error.
Review the listed dependencies.
-
For each dependency, choose one of the following actions:
Enable Global Object if you intentionally reuse the object across initiatives. For example, use this option for a segmentation that is shared across multiple campaigns.
Move the object to the same initiative as the campaign design if you use it only within that initiative.
Save the campaign design again.
Warning: Automatic resolution can move direct and indirect dependencies recursively. Review the changes before you confirm them because they may affect other campaigns or initiatives and may be difficult to undo.
Create the campaign design in another initiative
If you cannot change the dependencies, create the campaign design in an initiative that already contains the required objects. This avoids moving existing dependencies or changing their current locations.
Verify the campaign design
After resolving the error:
Save the campaign design again.
Check that all referenced objects are available.
Confirm that the objects still have the correct configuration.
