Overview
While configuring Loomi Search+, users may see a "Setup failed" status during the Dynamic Vector Cutoff (DVC) setup process, even after multiple retry attempts.
Path: Tools Dashboard>AI Studio>Search Control Studio
Explanation
Dynamic Vector Cutoff (DVC) relies on historical search query data to train its machine learning model.
To successfully train the model, the account must have:
- At least 7,000 unique user search queries
- Collected during the previous 90 days
If the minimum query history requirement is not met, DVC model training cannot be completed and the setup may fail.
Example Scenario
A customer attempted to enable DVC and repeatedly encountered a Setup failed status. During the investigation, it was determined that the account had:0 historical user queries in the last 90 days
As a result, the DVC model could not be trained and the setup process failed.
How to Verify
When investigating a DVC setup failure:
- Confirm that the catalog has sufficient search activity.
- Review the number of unique user queries collected during the previous 90 days.
- Verify that the catalog meets the minimum requirement of 7,000 unique historical queries.
- If query volume is below the threshold, allow additional search activity to accumulate before retrying the setup.
- If you need further validation, feel free to reach out to support@bloomreach.com.

Summary
One possible cause of a Dynamic Vector Cutoff (DVC) setup failure is insufficient historical search activity. DVC model training requires at least 7,000 unique user queries from the previous 90 days. If the catalog does not meet this requirement, the setup will fail until enough query history has been collected.
